The Fam Damily

I have been a slacker with the whole blogging our life thing. I can't even remember what we do or I forget to take pictures.

A couple weeks ago my parents, Maddie, and Brody got to come to Idaho for a short and sweet trip. Maddie is planning on attending one of the Beauty schools here. So the main point of this trip was to run around taking tours of the school, finding apartments, prom dress shopping, and just being together! I wish we had more time. We love doing things as a family....which I appreciate and love. We celebrated Zach's birthday, had family dinners at our place and Zach and Lizzy's, ate lots of candy, and watched lots of anxiety inducing movies (Gravity, Captain Phillips, and The Impossible), and laughed a lot (my favorite part). Oh and we exercised. Maddie is in track and she needed to keep working out during her break. We went to the track did some "speed work". For me it was like lets see how fast I can die! I tried to keep up with Maddie running 200's. She beat me. Then it came time to race my 52 year old mother..........yup........she beat me. Only by a little....maybe. We also did some workout videos at my house, which Ruby wanted to be apart of as well. I forgot to take picture so here are the high quality phone pictures ;)

Maddie is going to love this picture:)

Happy Brithday Zachy

Then a day after my family left, we went to Virginia to see Eric's family! We actually were able to fly out from Idaho Falls which meant 3 different flights all the way there. We made it in one piece and only a little cranky.
I found window decals from the dollar store that Ruby loved to play with on the plane....too bad we accidentally left them on that flight along with 2 library books.........dang it

Pill box with goodies for the flight. It kept her entertained for a while.

We got to do a lot! We went to the Zoo, had a baby shower for our sister-in-law, saw friends and family. Ate out a lot...gained 50 pounds, went to the best place on earth 3 times (Costco), dyed Easter eggs,

Giraffes are my favorite animal and here you can feed them. When Eric and I were dating, one licked my entire head and he didn't see it.

Feeding the birds....excited there are 2!

So Ruby decided she was pretty jealous of her cousin Phoebe who is 10 months older then her. She yelled, "NOOOOO!" And she often tried to get her out of her space. She didn't want to share anything...food, people, toys. I had to give lots of hugs to Phoebe and show Ruby she is nice and to be "soft". Poor Phoebe just took it for most of the time and had a look of shock on her face. It was rather embarrassing. I guess we need to have more play dates. She does well in nursery and I have never seen her act like that before. Oh well. Ruby also discovered the joys and sadness of Bpa and Mima's stairs. She fell down them probably 4 times but refused to back away from them. She loved going up and down. We had to block them off a lot but she finally got the hang of them.

sick of flying!!!!!
We had a great trip and hopefully we will be back in December for a few months, if Eric can get his internship there.
